The Dawgs played as well as they have all season last weekend in a great national prep tournament at Purdue University. 12 teams competed in the tournament and the Dawgs came up victorious in all 6 of their games.<\/p>\n
The tournament started with pool play on Saturday with the Dawgs winning 3 games against Krannert, Bowling Green and Central Michigan and earning them a #1 seed in the bracket play for Sunday.<\/p>\n
Sunday started with a game against Indiana State that Butler won and moved on to play Dayton, a team that had beat them earlier in the season. The Dawgs defeated Dayton and played Wisconsin in the championship game. Butler jumped out to a 12 point half time lead and were able to hold onto that lead against a good Wisconsin team.<\/p>\n
Butler now heads to the national tournament at Ohio State University this upcoming weekend. Pool play starts Friday night and continues on Saturday,<\/p>\n
The team is extremely excited about the opportunity to play in the national tournament and can’t wait to see how they stack up against the nation’s best.<\/p>\n
