Butler Club Golf sits in second place as a team after day one at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. The Kampen Course, which plays host to Big Ten Golf Championships, proved to be a tough test for the Bulldogs. John Milner set the pace for Butler in the first round carding a 9-over 81. He currently sits in a tie for fourth. The other four scores for the Dawgs on day one included three rounds in the 80s and one round in the 90s. The University of Notre Dame’s A team leads the tournament by 19 shots after day 1. The Kampen course only conceded two rounds in the 70s all day. With temperatures getting a little warmer on Sunday, and one round under the belt, Butler looks to make a final round run for the top spot in this year’s final regional tournament.
