The dawgs traveled to Bloomington this weekend to compete in the Hoosier Classic! Both teams had excellent pool play and were able to both get placed in the gold bracket for playoffs! The A team defeated Indiana State B & Wisconsin B in pool play. They won one & lost one against Indiana A, but still were seeded 2nd in the entire tournament after pool play! The B team defeated Bellarmine and split a match with Purdue B. They were defeated by Ball State’s A team but were seeded 7th overall.
Due to the seeding, the A & B team had to face off in the first round of bracket play! After a tough match between the teams, the A team was victorious. The A team then went on to face Purdue’s A team in the semi-finals. They won in 3 games and advanced to the championship against Wisconsin’s A team. After a tough loss in the first game, the dawgs battled back to win the second game and force a third. After a tough fight, the dawgs fell to Wisconsin by 4 points. The team was very proud to get second place in this highly competitive, 16 team tournament. Both teams played extremely well and it was an awesome way to end tournament play for the fall semester!
