Everyone who plays esports at Butler, whether at the club level or on our BIG EAST Conference teams (currently League of Legends and Rocket League), will come through us for membership. Want to be a member of Butler Esports/Butler Club Esports, or participate on a team? Here’s what to do:
Membership (Spring 2022)
- Fill out our Butler Club Esports Membership Form using your Butler Google account – if you already completed this in the fall, you do not need to do so again.
- Become a part of our Discord server to get connected with the community!
- Join our membership roll on Engage, and complete the two required Club Sports forms (“Club Sports Waiver” and “Club Sports Member Agreement”) found there – if you already completed these in the fall, you do not need to do so again. More information will be provided in the spring – stay tuned!
Then, once you get involved with a team and join its roster, there is one further requirement to be a team member:
- Pay a small dues fee ($10 per person per semester spring 2022). This can be done in person with our club Treasurer, or online here (use ndhamilt@butler.edu for the club treasurer’s email).
Teams
- At the beginning of the year, team Managers are appointed and help to select team rosters based on interested students. In the spring, rosters may have room for modification; this varies by title.
- Rosters may be finalized at different times throughout the year, but contact a team manager if you’re interested in joining a team.
- Effort will be made to ensure all students who want to participate on a team can, based on numbers, league requirements, and relative skill levels.
