The Bulldogs recently capped off an extremely successful fall ball season, playing in 4 total games against Louisville, Kentucky, Xavier, and Miami (OH). While the Bulldogs went 0-4, they were competitive in almost every game. This leaves us very optimistic for the Spring semester, our first semester in the prestigious NCLL. For the spring, we anticipate playing Miami(OH), Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Xavier(twice), and Louisville, with the hopes of participating in the Midwestern Invitational at Ohio State.
Unfortunately as our fall ball season comes to the end, so does the Butler lacrosse career of our Australian exchange student, Shaun Worker. Shaun has become an integral part of our time, with his constant “Good vibes” and Australian banter. We will miss him very much.

The men’s lacrosse team had an extremely successful year, offering new life for the club. The team saw upwards of 40 different players play in a game, and remained competitive in every game they played. They finished the spring split at 1-2, with a victory over #25 Xavier, and close losses to top 15 Louisville and top 10 Mississippi State. The team graduated one senior, Mark Williams, a member for all four collegiate years. If last season was any indication, next year should be a fun one.

The Butler University Men’s Lacrosse team is utilizing the “Bubble” to get ready during the winter season. The indoor facility allows the team to practice in live situations earlier in the preseason. The spacious facility is 200 feet long, allowing for practice set-up that a normal gymnasium setting would not allow.
“The Bubble” includes space for a variety of drills that could not necessarily be performed in a normal gym. The heated facility is used primarily by the team from mid-January through February. The lacrosse team also benefits from the room that “The Bubble” has to offer, as the Bulldogs are able to simulate game-like situations before stepping foot on the field. The 17 year old structure was home to the NCAA D1 Lacrosse Team from 1997-2007, as seen here.
