This afternoon is the debut of Butler’s new Fortnite team!  This is the first year Butler has fielded an official team in Epic Games’ popular battle royale title.  Captain Jed Martin ’23, along with Caleb Hatting ’21, DeJuan Winters ’22, and Kevin Kaspar ’20, make up this year’s team.

The team will compete in the Collegiate Star League weekly through at least the end of November.  While there is no direct interscholastic competition, they will complete two duo matches per week, earning points for placing and securing eliminations, which then will be compared to other schools to determine advancement.  The schools in each CSL region with the most points at the end of the regular season will move on to more competition, and we will keep you posted here with results as they come.

No stream for today’s match, but stay tuned for announcements of regular matches for #ButlerFortnite.

Edit: Today’s Fortnite matches have been delayed to next week due to technical difficulties from CSL.
