The Round Robin weekend of this year’s Battle for Indiana was last week, and the Tournament Weekend starts tonight!  Here’s what to expect.

League of Legends – First round: #1 PNW vs #4 Butler, #2 PU vs #3 BSU  //  Saturday 11/13 10:00am

  • The League of Legends tournament will kick off our Saturday action, and the four participating teams are ready to get back at it!  The Bulldogs are looking for the strong start required to take down the only LoL team to go undefeated last weekend.  The team combined Blue and White rosters to manage substitutions on a full competition day last week, and will do so again this coming week, “but we’ll go out and have fun with it,” says Levi “Levi” Hrabos ’23.

Overwatch – First round: #1 BSU1 vs #4 IU, #2 IUPUI vs #3 PU  //  Saturday 11/13 10:30am

  • The Overwatch round robin went all the way to the final round for a clear seeding picture to emerge, but it was undefeated Ball State who came out on top.  The race to the top begins on Saturday, though the broadcast won’t pick up a round until it’s time to book the first ticket to finals.

Rocket League – First round: #1 IU1 vs #2 Butler 1, #1 PU vs #2 BSU1  //  Friday 11/12 6:15pm

  • Unlike the other three titles, Rocket League featured only two advancing teams from each Round Robin group.  Our #1 seeds, IU1 and PU, each went undefeated last weekend and are eager to make their marks in their first chance at cross-group competition on Friday.  And notably, your Bulldogs also advanced to the tournament, looking to play the underdog in an elite field.  “It definitely won’t be easy,” says Liam “Astroo” Smith ’24, but “it’ll be tough no matter who we play, but every game is winnable.”

Valorant – First round: #1 IU1 vs #4 IU2, #2 PFW1 vs #3 PU  //  Friday 11/2 5:00pm

  • Indiana University earns a special nod here for being the only school to field two playoff teams in the same title!  The winner of that intra-school rivalry match will be featured on-broadcast at 6pm on Friday, but there will still be plenty of opportunities this weekend for action.

The official broadcast starts at 5:00pm on Friday with Purdue Fort Wayne vs Purdue in Valorant round 1, streamed live at twitch.tv/butleresports.  On Saturday, we start with League of Legends round 1 with Purdue Northwest vs Butler at 10:00am.  Catch the full broadcast schedule below!
