The last two weeks before Thanksgiving Break seem to be a busy time for the Club Sports Department and Club teams. Many teams are trying to squeeze in another few games before the break! The Department is also hosting the 2nd Officer Meeting for Club Presidents this week.

Over the weekend, six teams had competitions. Here is how they did:

Ultimate: The ultimate frisbee squad had a busy weekend, traveling to a Saturday tournament and hosting a Monday night game. At the tournament, they went 5-0 and ended up in 1st place! Their wins came against Huntington University (11-0), UIndy (11-4), Grace College (11-9), SFU (13-5), and UIndy (13-6). On Monday night, the team hosted IUPUI at the Butler Bowl.

Men’s Volleyball: The team traveled to Bradley University for a tournament on Saturday. They started the day off with a tie against Western Illinois, a win against the Bradley Alumni team, and a win against Wash U-St. Louis. To end the day, they lost to Illinois State. The team ended up getting 5th place!

Equestrian: Members from the team traveled to Terre Haute over the weekend for their first hunt seat show of the semester! The team came back with many awards, including Christine Slover – 1st in Novice Fences and 1st in Novice Flat, Izzy Templetpn – 1st in Novice Flat, Erica Zirkelbach – 1st in Open Fences, Gracie Seymour – 1st in open Flat, and Olivia Bradley – 1st in Intermediate Fences

Women’s Basketball: The team hosted a round robin tournament at the Butler HRC and EFG courts over the weekend! They played four games and ended the day with a record of 1-3. The team lost to IU White 30-46, lost to Cincinnati 44-66, beat IU Red 47-45, and lost to Purdue 33-40.

Men’s Lacrosse: Due to the nasty weather that hit the Midwest over the weekend, the Men’s Lacrosse game against Louisville was cancelled and will be made up in the future.

Curling: The team continued their weekly matches on Saturday when they hosted the University of Indianapolis Curling team. After a close match, the Butler team won 5-4!
