The Club Sports spring schedule is getting very busy with the beginning of February! We have teams traveling to events across the Midwest and teams that are hosting events at Butler. Those that cannot play games at the moment have been using the indoor facilities to keep their game in shape.

Last weekend, there were five teams in action – Curling, Hockey, Swim, Women’s Volleyball, and Men’s Basketball. Here’s how they fared:

Curling: The team hosted a two-hour round robin of scrimmages on February 1st against Circle City League members. They lost their match 1-11.

Hockey: The team picked up two huge victories against Wright State University on Friday and Saturday. Final scores were 9-2 and 9-7! In the second game, the dawgs rallied from being down 2-5.

Swim: The swim team traveled to Notre Dame for their third weekend in a row out of four. Multiple swimmers competed to try and qualify for regionals.

Women’s Volleyball: The ‘A’ team traveled to IU for their first event of the spring. They went 3-1 on the day and ended up in third place for the tournament.

Men’s Basketball: The team hosted their first event of the spring semester on Sunday, February 3rd against Western Kentucky. The two teams played a triple-header, with Butler winning all three games! Final scores were 91-74, 97-85, and 82-51.
