Hockey: A late addition to Club Sports, joining just this past September, Club Hockey’s season is off to a great start. The men hosted the IUPUI Jaguars in their home opener at the Indiana State Fair Ground this past Saturday! The Bulldogs won with a score of 12-3, including a hat trick from president, Noah Brayton! Women’s Volleyball: The women kicked off their season by hosting the Butler Fall Classic on October 10th. Teams in attendance included IU, Illinois State, Indiana State and Loyola. The dawgs came out strong with the A team finishing pool play as #1 seed and B team as the #7 seed! Butler A defeated Indiana A and Loyola A to finish the day as champs!

The team also traveled to Purdue last Saturday for the Boilermaker Blowout. The A team finished first in their pool and fell in a tough first round match against IU. Next, the ladies travel to Northwestern in November! Follow them @BUWomensClubVB!

Women’s Club Volleyball after winning the Butler Fall Classic 10.10.15

 

Crew: Another new addition the Club Sports family, Butler Crew is off to a great start this season! They competed at the Speakmon Memorial Regatta in Columbus, OH on October 10th.  Schools in attendance included Ohio State, Denison University, and Cleveland State. Their results of their 5 boats are as follows:
Men’s Varsity 4+ placed 3rd

  • Women’s Varsity 4+ placed 2nd
  • Women’s Novice 4+ placed 2nd
  • Mixed Open 4+ A placed 3rd
  • Mixed Open 4+ B placed 4th

The team also traveled to Oak Ridge Tennessee to compete at Secret City. President Autumn Tyler competed in her first ever 1x race where she received a gold medal! Congrats! The dawgs compete next here in Indy on October 31st! Follow them @Butler_Rowing to see more results!

Curling: The Butler Curling Club competed in the Circle Center Curling League both October 2nd and 9th! The team kicked off their year with a better than expected record! They compete every Friday night at 10pm at the Arctic Zone Iceplex in Westfield! Come out and support your dawgs! Follow the team @BUCurlingTeam!
