Club Tennis:

Nine members of the Club Tennis team recently returned home from a tournament in Tuscon, Arizona! This was the second year in a row that we have participated in this national event. The TOC Spring Invitational is an invite-only tournament for those teams that competed in their sectional tournament, but missed the cut for nationals. The tournament takes place over three days, and has a field of 48 teams. This year’s tournament saw 36 unique schools participating.

Our team was seeded the first place team in the 12th pool of four teams each. On Friday, Butler defeated Texas State University, University of Arizona, and Cal Poly- SLO to win the pool. Butler advanced to the Gold bracket, where they took on Midwest foe Michigan State. After a tough battle, the Dawgs lost to the Spartans, but had two more wins against University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University later that evening. Finally, on Sunday Butler played UCLA for 9th/10th place and took home the consolation trophy and a 9th place finish.

Women’s Club Volleyball:

The women’s club volleyball team traveled to Louisville, KY to participate in the NCVF Nationals this past weekend. They moved up a division after their national championship win in Division II last year. This year the DAWGS played some tough teams in Division IAA, but finished the weekend off with a record of 2-5.

Men’s Club Basketball:

Will be participating in their national tournament at Ohio State University from April 22nd – 24th.
