It was the last weekend of competition for our fall Club Sports teams. There were five teams competing across the Midwest. Here’s how they did:
Men’s Soccer: At NIRSA Nationals in Foley, Alabama, the Men’s Club Soccer team went 1-2. They lost their first two games to James Madison (0-7) and University of Connecticut (0-5). The team ended pool play with a strong victory over Colorado College (3-1). The remaining days of Nationals were canceled due to severe weather. Photo credits to the team.
Curling: At their Weekly Friday night competition, the Curling team was tied with an opposing team 5-5 after the 7th round, but ended up winning 8-5 due to the heroics of the team’s President! Photo credits to the team.
Women’s Volleyball: Both the ‘A’ and the ‘B’ teams traveled to Indiana University for a tough tournament on Saturday. Due to some players not being able to make the tournament, both teams had a hard time finishing out games and ended the day without a victory.
Hockey: The team traveled to Eastern Kentucky University for a two-game series over Friday and Saturday. They lost their Friday night game, 3-9, with goals scored by Matthew Moraw and Jack Becker (2). Due to a few shoulder injuries that were sustained in game one, the second game had to be called off. Equestrian: The team competed in the two-day IHSA horse show at St. Mary-of-the-Woods in Terre Haute, Indiana. They took home many awards on both Saturday and Sunday! Below is a list of all of their individual accomplishments. Photo credits to the team.
